on the road

Posted by citipointelive on Tuesday Apr 7, 2009 Under Gigs/Touring

Hey crew!
We’ve been on the road for almost 2 weeks now.  It’s been incredible to hook up with church’s across NZ. God is defs moving and you guys and gals here in NZ are so passionate for God and people, we were actually just chattin about how your hunger to worship God has been inspiring us to go deeper.  Love your work!
Being on the road is so rewarding, but crazy busy as well.  You have little sleep, drink many latte’s, meet so many people, see so many people connect with God and inspired to go further, and the scenery….wow, its incredible.  We cannot complain about being exposed to some of the most beautiful scenery, some of the best around the world.

We have to rave about our team.
They have gone above and beyond expectation and hilarious!!! The new editions, stu+john snow, have stepped up and helping share the love, leading people into worship. Lovin our team here and at home!!

We’ve hit up so far, Elim church in Botany, Majestic in Christchurch, City Impact in Queenstown and Invercargill (which is the southern most city in the world…crazy) the crews there are doing an incredible job.  From training teams to leading worship to eating and eating and eating sooooo much food, this trip has been so worth it.

When all is said and done, we pray that this trip would connect people with Jesus, help inspire action in devotion to our God and open eyes to the reality that everyone, you and I, can be an answer to this love robbed world.

Let’s do this!!!

In love

fiji survival.

Posted by citipointelive on Friday Mar 20, 2009 Under Life

NEW ZEALAND, here we come. Right now i am dreading our flight. We have to be at the airport and 5am, i don’t normally wake up till at least 12. Well firstly I just want to say I’m pumped for this trip. It is going to be sick to catch up with our friends from Elim, and City Impact. Also can’t wait to make so many more friends.

But the real reason i am writing is to explain the massive growth of hair upon my face. Now firstly, no, it’s not a fashion statement & I realize it is a little scary, although I am growing quite attached to it. But a week after we return from NZ a group of my boy’s and I are going on an ultimate survivor trip. Let me explain, 5 of us are getting dropped off on a deserted island in the middle of the pacific ocean just off Fiji.

This island will have no human life on it. All we are allowed to take is the clothes on our back, a spear gun, one machete, a knife each and 20 litres of water each and that is it. We will be on the island for 14 days, having to build all our own shelter, and catch all of our own food (probably going to eat heaps of sashimi). Actually we will be taking flint stones to help us create fire. So the ultimate plan of this trip is we have been shipped wrecked and we need to survive, hence the beard, I am trying to make this as realistic as possible.

Imagine a tourist boat rocked up, they would think we have been there for months. So there you have it, the reason for the giant pile of hair on my face. Really pumped for NZ though and cold weather love you all See you soon!

an incredible cry.

Posted by citipointelive on Friday Mar 6, 2009 Under Inspiration

Hey everyone

This is an incredible cry from a heart after God.
Read it, get it in your spirit, and be blessed!

I am a part of the fellowship of the Unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit Power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by presence, learn by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power. My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, diluted, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won’t give up, back up, let up, or shut up until I’ve preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I must go until He returns, give until I drop,
preach until all know, and work until He comes.

And when He comes to get His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My banner will be clear! for “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.. -author unknown

It’s our time!

our new rockstar.

Posted by citipointelive on Monday Feb 23, 2009 Under Life

Two thousand and nine…  Crazy when you think about it.  Actually it’s been the best start to any year of our lives, that’s because of little Sienna Haven Lucas was born Jan 18th, 2009.  Weighing 7lbs 13ou, 52 cm long.  She is the cutest little girl ever, yes we’re biased due to being her parents!   So my prayer was answered to be a Father to a little baby girl!  She’s gorgeous, you can stare at her for hours!  Don’t worry Beck and I are doing fine, getting some sleep haha.
Just wanted to spill my thoughts with you guys about 09.’  Already this year has brought a bit of chaos with where everything is at in the world’s economy and a lot of people are confused and looking for answers.  You can look at things and feel pretty hopeless.  But I hope we can all see this as an opportunity for you and I, God’s people, His church, to shine a bit brighter, speak a little bit louder, tread deeper into the water, and open eyes with the message that saved all of us.  It’s exciting, it’s new days ahead of us and we have the ability to shape and direct our future, changing lives, and seeing Jesus win this world!
It sounds easy to talk about it, but it is going to take each of us answering a question.  “Am I willing to pay the price?”  In the bible it says that He paid the ultimate price with His life!  Are we willing to pay that same price?  Why should we give anything less?
Come on, it’s our turn! Let your life do the talking this year, pay the price to see God’s kingdom come to earth!
We’re excited, we don’t know exactly what is to come, all we know is we’re not going to stop lifting our hands, shouting his glory, we’re not going to stop speaking up for those that have no voice! We are going to continue to press forward!  We’re going to continue to live, love. sing and dance because their our lives depending on us paying the ultimate price! We can do it, yes we can!

Much Love
Aaron Lucas

Huge 09: The Commissioning

Posted by citipointelive on Tuesday Feb 3, 2009 Under Inspiration

WOW! 2009 has really started. Things are booking up, my diary is filling ever so fast, honestly I’m a little scared! Lucky for the strength of Jesus Christ hey. The Commissioning 2009 was phenomenal, as soon as January arrived we all came back from holidays, and hit the ground running. Finalizing all the nitty gritty little stuff to pull this gathering off. First of all I have to say our team did so amazing.

I just want to say to all you who were there, thank you for your hearts of worship. I felt like I didn’t even have to lead the worship, you all just came in expecting with hearts open, selfishness aside ready to lift up our Jesus. Man I love it. Also John Bevere’s word was incredible & opened our eyes, so challenging! I’m scared to miss God’s plan for me hey! I don’t want some one else taking the job that was meant for me, you know?

People were baptized in the holy spirit, baptized in water & anointed with oil, then commissioned to go out and do what we Christians are supposed to do and make disciples of all nations, starting with our individual towns and cities.

Make sure you check out www.thecommisionging.com to stay tuned for 2010

All my Love
