I’ve been writing songs for 16 years. Some I will never reveal to anyone, and some I think are pretty good, haha. It’s definitely been a journey but I’ve learned a few things along the way. When it comes to songwriting, probably the most powerful key to keep your song writing moving forward is a thing called creative dissatisfaction…
In other words NEVER BE SATISFIED!
You can always write a better song, you can always be better, you can always learn more, always deepen your creative well.
After every song I write, or every record we produce, we sit down and absolutely pick it to bits. “OK, what was great about it?” “What went totally wrong?” “Are the lyrics really passionately painting a picture?” “Is the melody or the hook sinking deep into people’s hearts?” And obviously the next time around we try and fix it.
Never be satisfied with what you’ve achieved or accomplished. God’s creativity is limitless. There is always unreached potential. Bono from U2 best describes it by saying, “hungry in a way that can’t be fed!”

So, we are in our last week of mixing and finalising tracks with levels of vocals and guitar. I’m all for the vocal being up and the boys are all for the guitars to be cranked in the mix. The battle is on! Hahahaha. We have so many incredible vocals on this year’s album and we are so happy with the diversity that it has. The songs are sounding passionate and in ya face! Seriously, I am so amped about the sounds that are coming out of this album. I am in complete awe of God’s intense anointing and am feeling overwhelmed at the opportunity we have to glorify God for who He is and all He has done and is doing. I know without any doubt that God’s name is being lifted high and that lives will be forever impacted. Can’t wait for you all to hear it. Becky xxx
Our 2011 album recording is FINALLY upon us. It seems like forever since we last recorded. 2 years to be exact. WAY too long!
This time around, we’re pretty excited and very calm about this project. I believe that’s because we have a killer team running the ship. Big shout out to everyone on our team. You’re the best!
We love what new songs do to the heart of God’s church. There is something powerful about a new anthem stirring and moving people to become so free and vulnerable in their worship to God.
This Sunday night is about common every day people coming together to pour their hearts out in worship to our King and Saviour. We are purposely creating a moment where the truth of Jesus can be revealed. A moment where people of all demographic and backgrounds, can once again allow the hope of Jesus Christ to erupt in their hearts. An experience where the hopeless, the lost and the broken can find refuge in their heavenly Father!
